Palbociclib 125 mg capsule is used in conjunction with anastrozole, exemestane, or letrozole to treat a specific type of hormone receptor-positive, advanced breast cancer (breast cancer that depends on hormones like estrogen to develop) or breast cancer that has developed to other areas of the body system in women who have undergone menopause (change of life; end of monthly menstrual periods) or in men. Additionally, palbociclib is used in conjunction with fulvestrant to treat a specific type of advanced hormone receptor-positive breast cancer or breast cancer that has developed to other areas of the body in patients who have already received treatment with an antiestrogen drug like tamoxifen. Palbociclib belongs to the group of drugs known as kinase inhibitors.

How to Use Palbociclib

Palbociclib is available as a capsule to swallow. Usually, it is taken every day for the initial 21 days of the 28-day course with food. The frequency of this cycle's repetition will be determined by your doctor.
